Cyan Holdings Plc (AIM: CYAN.L), a fabless semiconductor company providing configurable application software and production ready modules based on feature rich, low power, microcontroller chips, has received the required authorisation to open an office in the People's Republic of China.
Cyan's first Asia office was opened in Hong Kong in 2005 and supports sales in the Asian region including the People's Republic of China. This new office is located in the central region of Shenzhen city, Futian, and will allow Cyan to directly support customers and partners in the People's Republic of China with local personnel. This office will eventually accommodate product development to support partners such as South West Computer. It will also provide a base for operations, managing module manufacture for Cy-Solved™ and other products plus technical support engineers for customers throughout China.
The Futian district of Shenzhen is home to a growing number of technology companies and is conveniently located for Shenzhen's exhibition centre. Cyan's offices in the Golden Central Tower are similar in size to the original Hong Kong office which was increased to 1300 sq ft, double the floor area, in 2007.
Dominic Lun, CEO Cyan Asia, said: 'Cyan Asia is now positioned to increase our technical staff to track the growth of sales for our new products in China.'
