Exercise of options by former Chairman

Cyan Holdings plc, the fabless semiconductor company specialising in the development of low power consumption, configurable microcontroller chips, announces that on 10 October 2007, 400,000 new ordinary shares in the Company ("New Ordinary Shares") have been issued and allotted following the exercise of options granted to Professor Michael Hughes, former non-executive Chairman of the Company, at an exercise price of 0.2p per share (the "Options").

Following this exercise of Options, Mr. Hughes will hold 740,909 ordinary shares in the Company, representing 0.53% of the enlarged issued share capital.

Application has been made for the New Ordinary Shares to be admitted to trading on AIM, which is expected to occur on 16 October 2007.

Following the issue of the New Ordinary Shares, the Company's total issued share capital with voting rights and which is admitted to trading on AIM will consist of 139,626,314 ordinary shares of 0.2p each, with one voting right per share.
